Civil Engineering and Construction Inspection Services

  • Donohue Engineering provided full analysis, design and construction inspection for replacement of Structure No. 177 in the Township of West Milford, New Jersey.  The project involved the full reconstruction of 33’ long box culvert including stream hydraulic analysis, wetland and stream encroachment environmental permitting, wingwall and roadway reconstruction, asphalt pavement, curbing all adjacent to a high pressure gas main.
  • Donohue Engineering provided site grading and stormwater management design for the Teterboro Airport Runway 1-19 Safety Improvements.  The project will require the relocation of 1,300 l.f. of Redneck Avenue.  The airport drainage basin involved presents challenges both environmentally and hydraulically due to existing C-1 wetlands and tidal flooding from the 10-year storm.  Donohue Engineering was responsible for analyzing the proposed stormwater management impacts for compliance with New Jersey Stormwater Regulations due to the relocation.
  • Lake Rickabear Dam Breach Analysis, Kinnelon, NJ.  This project involved the complete hydrologic and hydraulic stream analysis for this 2.967 sq. miles drainage area and multiple dam breach project.  The project analyzed the breach affects on the local roadways and on an existing residential community. The analysis determined the classification of the dam as “Significant Hazard Potential” or class II by using the ½ Probable Maximum Precipitation (17” rainfall) event. NJDEP Dam Safety provided agency review and acceptance of the Lake Rickabear Dam Breach Analysis.
